The trend of the past decade is so strong that even stodgy AMF Bowling Centers, dominant since invention of the automatic pinsetter in 1946, are enlisting. Many old-style keglers will head for traditional bowling centers during the week of Aug. 23, which the 76-year-old Bowling Proprietors Association of America has designated as National Bowling Week. If you’re ready to take the literal plunge into skydiving, a number of schools worldwide are ready to train you. First timers often tandem jump attached to an experienced skydiver, or take accelerated free fall (AFF) classes to eventually jump solo with an extended free fall, or diving without the chute deployed for a time.
