Traditionally, summer is the high point of the concert season, but the music doesn’t have to stop when the weather turns cooler. The Fall 2008 Concert Schedule contains several legendary performers plus an old favorite that has added some new blood:

Journey (Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valory, Deen Castronovo and Arnel Pineda)

For fans of this memorable band from the 1970s and ’80s, 2008 has been a year of change. Earlier this year, the group released “Revelation,” which contains 11 new songs written by Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain. Thanks to a series of YouTube videos, Journey also added a young singing sensation named Arnel Pineda to the mix.

The Eagles (Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit)

It certainly has been a long run for the Eagles, who have survived arguments, creative differences and also enjoyed successful solo careers. Back together again for the “Long Road Out of Eden Tour,” the four key members of the group may be pushing 60, but the sound and talent are still fresh.

Dave Matthews Band (Boyd Tinsley, Carter Beauford, Dave Matthews, Stefan Lessard and Jeff Coffin)
(Touring through Sept. 7, 2008)

Dave Matthews is a musician who, during the 1990s, quietly turned the band that bears his name into a major musical success. With a scheduled appearance at Farm Aid 2008 in September plus the band’s charitable Bama Works Fund, Matthews puts a lot of heart and soul into his music. Currently, Jeff Coffin is sitting in for the injured LeRoi Moore.

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band
(Tour ends on Oct. 25, 2008 in Las Vegas)

Most of us have, at one time or another, ended up wasting away in Margaritaville, so you don’t have to be a Parrothead to enjoy the music of Jimmy Buffett. One of the definitive acts of the 1970s, Buffett’s music still attracts fans, both old and new.
